   Very interesting. I see you are into a bigger scale than I had anticipated with the first try. (I had not seen the picture before my first post.) You have the idea on tilting the eggs from day to day which the hen does just pushing them around with her feet. In our litttle box incubator, we just put an x on one side of the eggs with a pencil and rotated them a half turn once a day. In the last few days, Dad’s big commercial incubator had trays with wire mesh in the bottom to which all eggs were transferred. Must be done quickly to avoid heat loss. The mesh provides the stability for the eggs at hatch and gives the chick a place to stand. What a fun project!! If my brother Lee, is on your mail list, he may be able to add to this info from his work experience.
