I (Don) watched the sunset from the hospital window last evening – and today, the eighth day in the hospital, is beginning.  While I am blessed to share that the medical team and nurses have been very kind and helpful, I am struggling to grasp the reality that Amy’s body is not stronger than when we arrived a week ago. I’ve never really appreciated how much work, and how many different processes, one’s liver contributes to our health until now.

The cancer has created a situation where more medication can bring more harm than help because the liver has reached a vulnerable stage. We combine our prayers and ask God to surround Amy with His love, strength, and healing presence.
